After a little Google research I've determined that this creature is a Black swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes asterius Stoll). They are destructive, beautiful, and love dill. They're of the order Lepidoptera, so if any manage to create their cocoon before I kill them there will be butterflies. I'll try to capture images of the cocoons and butterflies.
